Dotmom in Frisco

I had the privilege of going to Frisco this last weekend with some friends to a Christian women's conference called Dotmom put on by Lifeway.  It was amazing in every way and just what this Mama needed.  I felt like every speaker was speaking directly to me and the music was amazing!  We got to attend 4 small break out sessions and we chose the ones we wanted to go to.  There were so many that looked good but I chose Preventive Discipline, Raising Boys, Fashion on a Dime for Moms and Understanding the Emotional Needs of Young Children.  I learned so much and have already tried some of the things out this week with my kids.  I left feeling so refreshed and ready to be the mom that God designed me to be.

It was also a nice break from reality and we stayed in a hotel for two nights and ate out and did some shopping.  I seriously did not want the weekend to end.  I was able to meet some famous bloggers that I have been following for years (Kelly from Kelly's Korner, Megan from Tales of the Trees and Melanie from Big Mama) that were also attending the conference.  I had the chance to meet up with Jackie, Mrs. Horstmann and sweet little Taryn for dinner Saturday night but forgot to get a picture with them.  Lauren and 5 of her friends from College Station also went so that was a bonus getting to hang out with all of them too.  We stayed up way too late both nights in the hotel talking which was so much fun!  I'm hoping to make it an annual trip because it was that good!  If you ever have an opportunity to attend a Dotmom conference I highly recommend it.  It will change your life!

A special thank you to Clifton and my parents for helping take care of the kids all weekend while I was away.  I was happy to get back to my little family :)

Papa's 60th Birthday

We celebrated my dad's 60th birthday last Thursday.  Layton was so excited when I picked him up from Mother's Day Out to go buy Papa a cake and some balloons.  He also kept asking me why we weren't going to rent a bounce house and buy a huge pinata for Papa's party lol.  He figured he would want that too.  We had fun celebrating that evening with Nana and Papa.  I remember when 60 seemed so old but now it doesn't seem old at all.  We love you Papa!

A Fun Day at the Zoo with Grammy D

We had a fun day at the zoo a few weeks ago with Grammy D.  The weather was gorgeous and both kids had a blast.  Lots of great memories made that afternoon :)

Clifton's Trip To Africa

Clifton spent almost two weeks in Africa at the end of January with our pastor and children's pastor from our church.  Our church started a non profit organization called Operation H2O and their primary mission is to provide clean water to the villages around Nairobi Kenya by drilling water wells.  Clifton had an amazing trip and got to spend a lot of time with Jerrod and Amanda.  They were able to successfully drill and complete one water well while they were there.  Here are just a few pictures from his trip.  He gave his testimony about the trip in church a few weeks ago and did such a good job.  I was one proud wife.  I'm so thankful I have a husband that makes serving God a priority in his life.

This is where they were getting their water before the well was drilled.
They faced lots of hardships but God answered so many prayers while they were there.
You can see how many people from the village came everyday to watch them drill.  They were so excited!

Happy Valentine's Day

Here are some pictures from this last Sunday.  Molly looked so cute in her dress that my mom and her made her.  Layton looks more and more like a little boy these days he is getting so tall and skinny.  We are so glad to have Daddy back home again.

Here are a few from last night after bath time.

I got some beautiful flowers today from my sweetie!

Molly and I had lunch with Daddy today after Bible Study.  Happy Valentine's Day!
