Layton's 100th Day of School

Layton celebrated his 100th day of school the first week of February and was supposed to dress up as a 100 year old man.  I remembered the day before that we needed to put something together and asked Clifton if he would put together a walker for him.  After a little convincing Clifton agreed and had it put together and painted in less than 30 minutes.  Layton looked so cute he wore one of my brother Daniel's old suits he had as a kid that my mom still had and I found his glasses at the dollar store.  He had a great time that day at school and at his parade.  He looked so cute!  I'm so glad learning is fun for Layton and he enjoys school.

Layton's Award Ceremony

Layton had his first awards ceremony a few weeks ago at school and I am so proud of him he got the Principal's Award for Leadership from his teacher.  It is a big deal and we are so proud of him for being a leader at his school.

Fun Night With the McDougal Family

We had the McDougal family over one night in January and they were so sweet to bring pizza and brought some fireworks that they had left from New Years.  After dinner and some play time for the kids we went outside and popped all the fireworks.  The kids had so much fun playing outside that night and it was nice to catch up with them.  We are so thankful to have sweet friends that are in the same stage of life we are in.  Can't wait to do it again!

January Iphone Dump

January was a really busy month as you can tell I'm so far behind on blogging.  I was in charge of decorations again this year for our annual women's conference at our church and I had several other girls help me this year which was awesome.  I spent all my free time working on stuff for it the last few weeks.  We managed to squeeze lots of fun and family time in too :)

I spray pointed lots and lots of sticks for the conference

I also glued tons of sticks on vases
This year I taught a break out session on "Ways to Teach Young Kids about God's Word" so I read this book to help me prepare for my session.
Ranger ride in the cold looking for the perfect sticks to spray paint

I was desperate for a little exercise one day and Layton had a flat tire on his bike so I told all the kids to pile in and I jogged as best I could with all three kids.  Needless to say we didn't make it far :/
Bath time is always an adventure at our house
 Ready for church one Sunday
We have had some warm days lately and had a picnic outside one day for lunch

 Ready for BSF

I went to Cassie's Bridal Shower one night in SA and painted wine glasses it was lots of fun!
Loving my new Hunter rain boots that I bought with my Christmas money

We watched Colby one day for Juli and he had fun playing with Molly and Parker
Layton had the flu a few weeks ago so we had church at home one Sunday
Here we are reading a Bible Story
They decided to act out David and Goliath
Fresh flowers ready to be put together for the conference
So pretty I love milk glass
 All 34 of them done

I gave each person that attended my class this book as a tool to take with them.  I love this book!
This was the entrance to the conference
The tables turned out so pretty
Worship was awesome!  Loved our weekend growing closer to the Lord!

Molly's First day of Mother's Day Out

Molly started Mother's Day Out on January 6th and goes every Tuesday and Thursday now.  She is enjoying making some new friends and going to school just like "Big Bubba" did when he was this age.

Parker at 18 Months

Parker is 18 Months old now and his stats are:

29.1 lbs 93rd percentile
34 inches 80th percentile

Parker is a busy boy these days and into everything.  I have to keep the pantry locked or he will grab a chair pull it in there and start helping himself to all kinds of snacks.  He can open the back door so I have to keep the top locked so he can't just walk outside.  He loves to carry little toys around the house and then just drops them or puts them in random hiding places.  He loves to walk around with a sippy cup but always loses them and we spend lots of time looking for them :) He is a great sleeper and sleeps about 10 hours every night and still takes at least a 2 hour nap when I don't have to wake him up to pick up Molly or Layton from school.  He is talking so much these days and using sentences now.  Tonight he said "I don't want that" when he was talking about his dinner.  He says please and thank you now pretty consistently.  He likes to say "I go sing now Mama" which means he wants to go outside and swing.   He tells Daddy "Jump me Daddy" which means he wants to be swung up in the air.  He knows most of the animals now and the sounds they make.  He repeats everything the kids are saying and loves to play the game with Layton where Layton will say okay Parker say this and then will repeat whatever he tells him to.  He can sing Jesus Loves Me, Trust and Obey, Happy Birthday and tries to sing the ABC song so cute!  He runs up to me and says Hug me Mama and I pretty much just melt.  He will ask me to rock him every now and then and he loves attention from me when no one else is around.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are now our days we get to spend together since Molly started MDO and he loves me to play with him.  He likes to boss me around and will say "Come play with me Mama" or "Sit down Mama."  This is such a fun age I'm trying to soak up every day because he is changing so fast.  He now tells us as soon as he poops and says "change me please I go poo poo" so I'm hoping he will be easy to potty train like Layton and Molly were.  He is finally drinking milk out of a sippy cup and loves it!

Sweet Parker,

You are so much fun these days and I love all your sweet hugs and slobbery kisses.  You are a busy boy and love to keep up with Layton and Molly.  You love to be tickled and have even started saying "tickle me Mama" it is the cutest thing when you laugh and giggle with your brother and sissy.  I love your fun little personality and you are very easy going and are happy as long as you get to eat.  It is so nice now that you can talk and tell us what you need.  Sweet Parker I can't wait to see where life will take you as you grow I pray that you become a great man of God like your Daddy and seek Him in all that you do.  Mommy and Daddy love you so much and God loves you more!

Love you to the moon and back,

Mommy
