Layton's First School Project

Layton had his first project for his Gifted and Talented class a few weeks ago.  He had to come up with an idea or invention to help people.  He decided to make a combination of a walker, wheelchair and scooter all combined to help older people walk.  It has a motor on it so when they get tired of walking they can sit down and turn on the motor and take off :)  He spends enough time around both of his great-grandmothers who both have a hard time getting around these days so he decided he was going to help them :)  Layton enjoyed building it with his Daddy and I helped him put together his presentation board.  All the kids in GT presented them one evening to all the parents and they did such a great job.  I was so impressed with some of the creative ideas the kids came up with.

Here he is with Grandma Hill telling her about his project.

Layton did so good presenting his idea to everyone.  We were so proud of him.

This was after the presentation at the school the kids sat down and asked for a picture :)  I love Parker's face here.

Painting Pumpkins at Steele's House

Melissa invited a bunch of us over one morning for some pumpkin painting, playtime and snacks.  The kids had so much fun and it was nice to visit with other Mommies while the kids played.  We are so thankful for friends to have fun with.  I think it is amazing we got this many little ones to sit down for a pic lol.

Crafting with Layton's 1st Grade Class

This year I am the room mom for Layton's class so I went up to the school one day to work on this craft with the kids and decorate his teacher's door for fall.  I had two other moms come help and the kids seemed to enjoy it and they did a great job.  Now I need to come up with an idea for her Christmas/winter door :)

Women of Joy

I had the opportunity to go to a Christian women's conference at the beginning of October in San Antonio called Women of Joy.  It was such a fun uplifting weekend.  It was nice to spend time with my friends, have a little break from everyday life and grow closer to the Lord with amazing worship music and speakers.  We stayed in a hotel downtown and had more fun each night talking and hanging out.

We got to hear Kari Jobe in concert and she was amazing!

Lunch with Layton

We had lunch with Layton one day in October.  Molly and Parker love to go see Layton at school.

September Happenings

Playtime outside with Molly and Parker

I know the settings are all messed up here on my camera but I just love this picture.

 Matching at church :)
We had Chad and Kellie over for dinner one weekend with the girls.  It was great to catch up with them.

Molly begged me to straighten her hair one day so it would be like Mommy's.  She looks too grown up :(

Molly started dance in September and is loving it so far.
Headed to a baby shower with Mommy.

Layton sang on the Christmas cd for our church and this was the kids singing at the recording studio.

Headed to another baby shower with Miss Molly
Molly had fun playing with Megan's baby Lilly Mae.
Molly is obsessed with pregnant women right now and all things baby because of Aunt Amanda and we have been to several baby showers lately.  Here she is sound asleep with her baby in her belly lol.
 Ready for church

 Celebrating Juli's bday

Poor Parker was the last of the 3 to catch the stomach bug in September.
We started BSF in September and this is Parker on his first day back at BSF.
Parker has mastered his balance bike and is so fast on it now.
