Sea World

Daniel and Lauren invited us to go with them to Sea World on Friday.  I was hosting a baby shower for one of our friends at our house on Saturday morning so I wasn't sure if we would be able to go.  Thankfully Lauren offered to come help me Thursday night and my mom also helped me by sewing my curtains up that I had just bought so I would have them hung before the shower on Saturday.  I was able to get enough done that I felt like we could go on Friday and take Layton and Cooper.  That night before Thursday night, Layton woke up almost every hour so Clifton and I both woke up exhausted Friday morning.  We debated about whether or not we should try to go but we decided we would go because we weren't sure if we would have another chance to go as a family with Daniel and Lauren.  Layton was so fussy all morning.  We were those parents with the bad kid at Seaworld.  He threw so many fits and refused to ride in his stroller but wouldn't walk and hold our hands either.  Clifton kept looking at me and saying we should have stayed home.  He was fine if we were riding a ride or doing something but there was a lot of walking around to get to different areas of the park and he was so impatient.  He enjoyed the first 5 minutes of the Shamu show and then he was restless and ready to leave.  We made the best of it and once we got to the water park Layton turned into a different child.  I was surprised he lasted as long as he did with no nap but he loved the water park.  We went to the new Sesame Street area for the little kids and the larger water park.  They have so many neat areas for smaller kids to play in.  He had a blast.  Finally about 4:30 we got him out and changed him into dry clothes.  He ate a few goldfish and I looked at the stroller and he was out.  He slept a good hour and a half and in the car some too.  He woke up happy and laughing.  I'm glad we went even though Layton was difficult.  He ended up getting really sick the next day so that is probably why he was acting the way he was and we just didn't see the signs.  Poor baby we wore him out that day at Seaworld too.

Our Cruise - Part 3

Our last stop was Cozumel, Mexico and Clifton and I had been there twice on the previous cruises we have been on so we knew what to expect.  We took a taxi to San Francisco Beach and enjoyed the day hanging out at the beach again.  Daniel, Lauren, Chad and Kellie all went para-sailing right from the beach that day.  I got an awesome massage and Clifton and I just relaxed.  After we left the beach we went to Pancho's Backyard our favorite restaurant in Cozumel and then did a little shopping before heading back to the ship.  We had lots of fun!

Everyone lathering up with sunscreen.

 Last night at dinner.

Dancing some more to the Mickey Utley band.

We can't wait to do it again but our next cruise will probably be a Disney cruise with all the kids.  I'm so thankful we made time this year to take a real vacation.  Lots of great memories made!

Our Cruise - Part 2

Wednesday morning we woke up and opened the huge window to our balcony and saw that we were docked in Roatan, Honduras.  Here was our beautiful view.

 Docked in Roatan

Headed to zip line with our driver Lincoln.

We had so much fun zip lining!

Then our driver took us to a private beach resort at the West end of the island.

Hanging out at the beach.

After the beach he took us to a beautiful look out point where we could see the ship below.

 Headed back to the ship.

 Leaving Roatan.

 Dinner that night.

The midnight buffet out by the pool.

We headed to Belize the next day and we procrastinated booking an excursion in Belize so the snorkeling trips were all sold out.  We decided to spend the day on a private island at the beach because we were told there wasn't much to see or do in Belize City.  The ship set the anchors out that day about 30 minutes outside of Belize City and everyone had to take a tender boat in.  We got on a small boat and they took us straight to the private island for the day.  We had so much fun we played beach volleyball, kayaked slept in the hammocks, had a few fruity drinks and swam in the turquoise ocean.  It was a fun day!  We got back to the ship about 3 that afternoon and went straight to the pool to get some more sun.

 Headed to dinner that night.
To be continued. . . . .
