Annual Pumpkin Carving at Justin and Natalie's

Every year we go to Justin and Natalie's house to carve pumpkins the week of Halloween.  The kids look forward to this night every year.  This year Clifton decided to let Layton pick the design and do it himself.  Molly even helped a little bit.  We had a great night visiting with family and friends and watching all the kids carve pumpkins.

Layton's First Homecoming Garter

Layton insisted on wearing a garter this year for Homecoming since last year everyone had them at his school.  He was so proud of his first garter and wore it proudly at school all day.  They start them young here in South Texas lol.

The Pumpkin Patch

We had a fun day as a family back in October at the Hondo Corn Maize.  We spent the whole day out there with the kids playing and having fun.  I think all three of them had a blast and slept the entire way home.

It was so hot that day it did not feel like fall.

The kids love these big slides!

Parker had so much fun on the giant jumping pillow this year.

The apple cannons were new this year and all three kids enjoyed shooting them.

Layton's First School Project

Layton had his first project for his Gifted and Talented class a few weeks ago.  He had to come up with an idea or invention to help people.  He decided to make a combination of a walker, wheelchair and scooter all combined to help older people walk.  It has a motor on it so when they get tired of walking they can sit down and turn on the motor and take off :)  He spends enough time around both of his great-grandmothers who both have a hard time getting around these days so he decided he was going to help them :)  Layton enjoyed building it with his Daddy and I helped him put together his presentation board.  All the kids in GT presented them one evening to all the parents and they did such a great job.  I was so impressed with some of the creative ideas the kids came up with.

Here he is with Grandma Hill telling her about his project.

Layton did so good presenting his idea to everyone.  We were so proud of him.

This was after the presentation at the school the kids sat down and asked for a picture :)  I love Parker's face here.

Painting Pumpkins at Steele's House

Melissa invited a bunch of us over one morning for some pumpkin painting, playtime and snacks.  The kids had so much fun and it was nice to visit with other Mommies while the kids played.  We are so thankful for friends to have fun with.  I think it is amazing we got this many little ones to sit down for a pic lol.

Crafting with Layton's 1st Grade Class

This year I am the room mom for Layton's class so I went up to the school one day to work on this craft with the kids and decorate his teacher's door for fall.  I had two other moms come help and the kids seemed to enjoy it and they did a great job.  Now I need to come up with an idea for her Christmas/winter door :)

Women of Joy

I had the opportunity to go to a Christian women's conference at the beginning of October in San Antonio called Women of Joy.  It was such a fun uplifting weekend.  It was nice to spend time with my friends, have a little break from everyday life and grow closer to the Lord with amazing worship music and speakers.  We stayed in a hotel downtown and had more fun each night talking and hanging out.

We got to hear Kari Jobe in concert and she was amazing!
