Last week we finally had a barn built on the slab next to our house and it is so NICE. Layton was really impressed with the whole building process and had fun in the evenings hanging out with daddy outside watching the men work. They were able to finish it in three days. I went to work Monday morning and there was just a slab there and I came home that evening and the whole thing was framed. By Wednesday night the barn was finished (well except for the doors) that we are waiting to come in. I have enjoyed having a covered place to park my car out of the nasty weather. I no longer have to wait for the ice to melt on my windshield on really cold mornings. We also added a covered porch to the side of it which will be nice to sit out on once the weather is nicer. If we decide to put an outdoor kitchen in someday we will probably put it here next to the barn. Layton loves to look at "daddy's new barn" and talks about it a lot these days. We are so thankful we were finally able to build one and look forward to someday finishing all the projects we have planned at our place. Here are a few pictures of the process of building "daddy's new barn."
