Parker's First Taste of Food

We decided to give Parker some oatmeal the other night because he has started waking up at least once a night now.  He is wanting to eat more and now is hungry during the night so it was time.  I want my baby that sleeps 10 hours straight every night back :)  He was surprisingly a huge fan of the oatmeal and really seemed to like it.  We will probably be starting baby food soon.  He is growing up way too fast.

A typical evening at our house. . . .

I took a few pics of the kids at dinner the other night just so I can remember this crazy busy stage we are in right now.  We are constantly telling the kids, "Please sit down and eat your dinner" over and over it seems.  Parker just sits and hangs out and laughs and squeals happily.  He is the easy one right now.  Layton is a good eater and will typically eat whatever we give him and then there is Molly who has such a strong gag reflex.  If she doesn't like something we may see it again so she fills up on lots of fruit, bread or meat and is good about eating some things I fix.  She loves to eat beans and loves meat and bread.  She isn't crazy about most casseroles I make.  Her tastes change from day to day you never know what she will eat.  Love these three crazy kids!

Fun Weekend in Dallas

The weekend before last Parker and I flew to Dallas to spend the weekend with Jackie and Taryn.  He was such a great traveler.  We shopped all day on Saturday with the kids and we had so much fun.  Parker and Taryn were troopers and did so well riding in the strollers most of the day.  It was so nice to have a weekend away with only one kid and relax and be able to catch up in person with Jackie.  Thanks so much for the fun weekend Jackie!

I finally got to go to a Kendra Scott store in Plano and it was so much fun.  I just love her jewelry.

 The sky was beautiful on our flight home I just sat by the window in complete awe holding my sweet sleeping baby.  It was the perfect way to end a fun weekend.

A special thanks to Clifton and my parents for taking care of Layton and Molly while I was gone.  It is nice to get a little break from the normal routine every now and then and have some shopping fun.  Can't wait to do it again next year! 

Happy 4 Months Parker Man

Wow 4 months already how can it be?  You have grown so much this last month you are not a tiny little baby anymore.  You can hold your head up so well now and don't mind tummy time anymore.  You are rolling over and trying to sit up to see what is going on.  You have started getting distracted while nursing lately if Layton and Molly are around you have to see what they are up to.  You still love to be held and are talking and squealing constantly.  You are finally out of our room and in your crib in Layton's room.  It seems to be working out well.  Once we moved you to the crib we had a few rough nights and now you are waking up once at night to eat but lately it has been between 5 and 6 in the morning.  You always go back to sleep until about 7:30 or 8:00 so I can't complain.  We haven't started solids yet but probably will soon.  You must be growing a lot because you are wanting to eat often.  Here are your 4 month stats:

15 lbs. 15 oz 52nd percentile
26" long 82nd percentile
size 2 diapers and 6-9 month clothes

You did awesome on your first flight to Dallas.  You were a great little traveler.  I'm trying to soak up the infant stage because it is passing so quickly.  You usually don't nap very long in the afternoon so we get to hang out while Molly naps.  You still like the swing for naps, playing in the exersaucer, sitting in the bumbo and the bouncy seat.  I love you so much sweet boy!  So thankful for another awesome month with you.  Love you to the moon and back.

Layton and Parker's Room

We finally moved Parker's crib into Layton's room after we tried putting him in Molly's room a few times.  It just wasn't working out.  Parker is doing great sharing a room with Layton and it is sweet to hear Layton talk to him in the morning through the monitor.  If Parker wakes up at night Layton sleeps through it which is so nice.  These two are going to have so much fun together as they get older.
