A Fun Weekend in Houston

A few weeks ago my mom and I took a road trip with Parker and Molly to Houston to see Jerrod and Amanda.  Clifton had a church conference going on and Layton was going camping with Leslie and John Paul.  We have had lots of rain here lately and because of predicted storms all weekend Layton did not get to go camping they decided to call off the trip but graciously offered to keep him all weekend and hang out with his cousins Mason and Morgan.  I think all of us had a great weekend but we were happy to be home under one roof by Sunday night.  While we were in Houston we got a chance to visit Carter and Laura and I finally met sweet baby Stella.  She was up to 8 lbs. when we saw her so she seemed so tiny but has actually grown quite a bit.  We had a great weekend with lots of rain in Houston too.  We did a little shopping and just hung out and ate some yummy food.  Amanda and Jerrod are spoiled with so many good restaurants so close to their house.  Thanks for having us Amanda we had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back!

Here we are headed to go pick up Nana
We had some delicious pizza Friday night while it stormed and poured outside.  I look just a little bit tired lol

Molly had more fun with this little baby carrier that Charlotte had

Molly had so much fun playing with Charlotte that morning

After leaving the Woodlands we headed to Cypress to the outlet mall and the kids weren't the most cooperative so I think we made it to 3 stores :( All Parker wanted to do was ride the Kermit car and there may have been a huge fit when we had to get out of this little car.  Shopping with a 1 and 3 year old is never easy.

Saturday night Amanda and I got to go to a book signing for Melanie Shankle's new book "Nobody Is Cuter Than You."  We got there right at the end and of course the books were sold out but we got to visit with Melanie and get a picture with her.  I love her blog thebigmamablog.com
We went and had a drink and got to talk without little people interrupting us it was awesome!  Thanks to Nana and Uncle Jerrod for getting the kids to bed :)
Sunday morning we headed to Jerrod and Amanda's church for the early service.
We enjoyed a yummy lunch before hitting the road to head home.  Such a fun weekend!
