Parker at Age 2

I wanted to take a minute to write about what Parker has been up to now that he is 2 years old.  Oh my goodness this kid is giving me a run for my money.  He is literally all over the place and into everything.  His latest thing is to unlock any door in the house and just walk outside which is really scary.  I can't take a shower anymore if he is awake because I have to watch him so closely.  Just last week he managed to get a chair and climb a few shelves in the pantry to reach the chewable vitamin C.  He then ate half the bottle before Molly saw him and came and got me out of my room.  Poor kid didn't feel so good most of the day.  I'm so thankful it wasn't something worse than vitamins.  He loves to dig in my purse and eat all my mints or tic tacs :)  This morning I found him in my closet eating all of my cough drops I literally could go on and on.  We never dealt with this with the other two kids so I feel like we are having to baby proof the house for Parker.  He is so stubborn and truly doesn't care about getting into trouble which is challenging most days.  At the same time he is so cute when he says "I sorry Mommy" it is hard to even be mad at him.  He is talking so much these days and will have conversations with me.  He is starting to put lots of things together for example he picked up a coaster off of the coffee table and said "Mommy is this a roller coaster?"  Clifton and I both could not stop laughing.  He loves going to Mother's Day Out twice a week now with Molly and doesn't even care when I drop him off.  He still has to have an afternoon nap and sleeps from 8:30-7:00 most nights.  He loves to sing and knows a lot of songs now.  He still enjoys being read to all the time and always wants me to rock him for a few minutes by himself before I put him in his bed for the night.  He loves to have one on one time with Mommy.  He will play babies with Molly while Layton is at school and then play trucks and tractors after school with Layton.  He just loves having a playmate.

To my Parker man:
I am so glad we have you in our family.  God knew we needed a spunky, easy going, loud and funny little boy like you to complete our family.  You make me laugh all day and drive me crazy at the same time :)  I love that you will play with Layton or Molly or by yourself.  You love to be outside and swing and ride your bike.  You are so sweet and love to rock with my at night and I know these moments won't last much longer so I'm soaking them all up everyday.  I can't wait to see how God is going to use you one day.  I love you to the moon and back!  Can't wait to make more sweet memories this next year with you.
Love,
 Mommy
