Thursday Layton and I spent the afternoon with Grammy D and Mason. I found these cute surfboard outfits for the boys so we had fun taking their pictures together. Mason wasn't quite sure what to think of Layton. I can't wait until the boys are older and can really play together they are going to have so much fun growing up together. They are exactly two months apart but Layton has a lot of catching up to do with Mason.

Another fun week with Layton
I've been enjoying my time at home with Layton so much I can't believe my maternity leave is almost half over. This week he has started smiling more and making lots of noises. He has been sleeping from 11-5 this past week and last night he made it from 10:30-6:30 so I hope he continues with this new schedule. I asked Clifton to watch him while I did some stuff around the house once Clifton got home from work on Monday and I came into the living room to find this. . . . thought it was too cute them napping together on the couch. He loves hanging out with daddy!

Here is a picture of him we took before church on Sunday sporting his big boy shorts and shoes:
Clifton got him to smile the other night before we put him down for bed
On Wednesday we went to Abby's baby shower at Brooke's house in San Antonio. Then I took him by my office to meet all my coworkers. He was great he slept almost the whole time we were there. Here a few pics from the shower:

Layton is One Month Old
Today Layton is one month old! He has changed our lives completely and now I can't imagine life without him. We thank God everyday for blessing us with him and try to cherish every moment we have even if it is 4:00 in the morning and he is wide awake. I'm so thankful I have 8 more weeks of maternity leave left because time is flying by. He has really started to smile this week more and more especially after he eats. He loves to eat so that is when he is the happiest. Here are some pictures I took this week of the little man.

Busy Weekend
We had our friends Juli and Clinton and my brother Daniel and sister n law Lauren over for fajitas Friday night. We enjoyed watching Tanner and Cooper play together. By next summer Layton will be big enough to play with them. It was a nice relaxing evening and Layton did great he slept almost the whole time so I got a chance to visit with Juli and Lauren.
I got some of Layton's toys out that he isn't quite big enough to play with so Tanner and Cooper were entertained with them.
Cooper making faces at the camera like always.
Here is Layton checking out his aunt Lauren.
The girls with the babies.Saturday morning I took Layton to his first baby shower. It was for one of my old friends that actually used to babysit us growing up. Here are a few pictures before we left. His aunt Lauren bought him this cute outfit. I thought it was still too big for him because it looked so long on the hanger but it fits I can't believe how big he is getting.
Saturday night we took Layton to his first wedding. One of Clifton's cousins got married in San Antonio so we dressed up Layton in this outfit that my brother's both wore when they were babies. My mom helped me find the cute shoes to match. The wedding was beautiful and it was nice to get dressed up and have a night out of the house as a family. Here are some pictures.

Growing so fast. . . .
We took Layton to his 2 week check up last week and he now weighs 10 lbs. 9 oz. and is 22 inches long. I can't believe how fast he is growing and changing everyday. We went to Nana and Papa's house one afternoon this week and here is a good picture of him with his Nana. He has really started focusing on people this week.
We have also been trying to do some tummy time a few times a day but he gets so mad and frustrated that he usually just lays his head down and tries to start snoozing. He also likes to suck on his arm when he gets hungry.
I've been laying him in his crib a little during the day so he will get used to it. Once he starts sleeping through the night we plan on moving him to his room. Right now he sleeps in a pack in play right outside our bedroom and is going about 4 to 5 hours at a time between feedings. I'm so thankful he is already going that long it has been a blessing to have a baby that is a good sleeper.
Here are a few funny pictures of him laying on the couch with me he makes some of the funniest faces after he eats and I love his tiny yawns.

Visitors and July 4th weekend
Monday we took Layton to have some newborn pictures taken by one of my college volleyball teammates. I can't wait to get the cd of pictures in the mail . . . . he did so good. He slept the whole time so we were able to get a lot of neat shots. This week I had several visitors which was nice I was able to get out of the house some more with Layton. Tuesday my childhood friend Yvonne came to visit us and we went to lunch in town and had a nice visit all afternoon.
This is Layton when he is ready to eat.
Wednesday my friend Barbara that I played volleyball with at TLU came down to visit and we got to go to lunch again.
Thursday Deborah, Leslie and Mason stopped by for a short visit and then I took Layton to my parent's house for the afternoon. Thursday night Clifton gave Layton his first bottle before we put him to bed and I was worried about him getting too much or not enough but he drank 4 oz. and slept for 4 hours so he seemed to do fine with it.
Friday we stayed around the house and I caught up on laundry and did some cleaning. Saturday night we took him to church for the first time and they had a nice meal for July 4th. He did good during the service and then we stayed for ice cream and fireworks afterwards.
