Layton's First Easter

We celebrated Easter today with lots of family and yummy food. It was fun to watch Layton get excited about his Easter goodies this morning. He got some goodies from his Grammy D, a bunny that sings Jesus loves me from Great Grandma Hill and he wore a cute outfit made by his Nana to church this morning. We tried to hide some eggs for Cooper after lunch but he wasn't really interested in them. Maybe next year when Layton is walking we can have a Easter egg hunt for the two of them together. My sister and her husband were in town this weekend so it was nice to spend time with them too.

This morning Clifton had to be at church really early so Layton and I had some time to ourselves before we had to get ready to go. I gave him his duck when he woke up and he was so happy.

Here he is with his Easter goodies.

Cooper wasn't a big fan of having to sit down for a picture with Layton. Poor thing he was ready for a nap.Great Grandma Hill and Layton

Eating some strawberry cheesecake trifleI had such a great time today celebrating with family what Jesus did for us so long ago and I can't wait to explain to Layton the reason we celebrate Easter when he is older.

Layton is now eating anything we give him basically. We have started slowly feeding him whatever we are eating. Today he enjoyed Easter lunch and ate some brisket, baked beans, potato salad, scalloped potatoes, and deviled eggs. He even had a little dessert. He is such a good eater he loved everything!

I forgot to mention in my last post that last weekend Layton started standing by himself. He can stand without holding onto anything for about 15 seconds now before he falls down. I haven't been able to get a picture of him doing it yet seems like the camera is never close enough. I think it is only a matter of time before he takes off. He is getting braver and braver cruising the furniture at our house.
