My sister was so generous to offer to keep Layton for us for 7 days while we were on our cruise. We were able to relax and enjoy our trip because we knew Layton would be well taken care of while we were gone. My parents and Clifton's mom also helped Amanda and were around to answer any questions she had so that was nice of them too. I think Layton had a great time all week and loved all the attention Amanda gave him. They went to Rockport with my parents at the beginning of the week and he got to go to the duck pond and the park there. They spent one day playing with Grammy D and cousin Mason and Amanda also took him to the San Antonio Zoo and to ride the train. They had a picnic at Brackenridge Park and went to the park in Jourdanton one day. I think Amanda kept him busy so he didn't have time to think about us being gone or miss us too much. Amanda said he was good for her and she had no problems so that was a relief. We were able to call a few times from the ship and check on him and he was doing great. She also taught him his first memory verse. It is the sweetest thing hearing him say it. He was so proud of himself when he said it for us once we got home last Sunday.
