July 4th Weekend

Saturday night we went to Daniel and Lauren's and let the boys play and we had dinner. It was great to hang out and catch up. I took one picture of Clifton reading to Layton at their house that night. Layton is really into books right now and will actually sit still and let you read to him as long as he can turn the pages.

Sunday morning we had church, I worked in the nursery so it was a little bit crazy and then Layton and I had lunch with Daniel and Lauren and the kids while Clifton had his church meetings. We came home and napped while Layton did. We decided at the last minute to have Chad and Kellie over for some grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and Grammy D was able to come over too. I made a yummy dessert pizza with strawberries and blueberries that turned out so good. We ended up popping a few fireworks after Layton went to bed in the driveway.

Monday morning we got up and took Leslie, J.P., Mason and Grammy D to Medina lake. Both boys had so much fun splashing in the water and riding around on the lake. We were on the water from 12-6 and both boys managed to squeeze in a short nap so our lake trip was lots of fun. John Paul was nice enough to capture a few pictures of me wake boarding with Layton pointing at his Mommy. I'm usually the one behind the camera so I'm thankful he took these.

This is Layton's cousin "Sason" as Layton calls him. He loves hanging out with his cousin Mason.
