Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning at home Round 3

Christmas Eve night we enjoyed our time at home just the three of us as a family. We got home about 6 that night after we left Americus Diamond. Clifton got a new radio for his Ranger from me and was anxious to put it all in. While he worked on that Layton and I played with all of his new toys. I wasn't planning on being home for dinner that night so we just threw something together. We enjoyed a very quick and easy dinner of chili dogs that night and decided to let Layton open one of his presents from us. That night I had fun playing "Santa" after Layton went to bed. I got everything all set up and then drank hot chocolate and watched the movie Elf sitting by the fire while Clifton continued to work on his new radio. We were up pretty late that night but it was so nice just to be at home and take it easy. Layton woke up the next morning and he had so much fun checking out all of his new toys that Santa brought him. He went straight for his new tractor and trailer and then wasn't really interested in opening any other presents. We finally convinced him to open the rest and he was so excited and so sweet to tell us thank you after each one he opened. We enjoyed a lazy morning at home before we had to get ready to head to Justin and Natalie's for the big Shearrer Christmas lunch that day.

Here he is playing in his new Thomas playhut and tunnel that he got from Aunt Amanda and Uncle Jerrod on Christmas Eve.

He wanted mommy to get in and then he laughed at me and said "mommy too big, mommy get stuck"

Here he is opening his present from us.

Here are all of his presents from Santa all set up for him.

The next morning riding his tractor.

Pushing Elmo around and he was saying "I go to HEB" so funny

We had so much fun that morning and I'm glad we were able to be at home Christmas morning. We decided when we had Layton that we would always try and stay home Christmas Eve night so he could wake up at his own house on Christmas morning and we could spend it together as a family. It has been so fun to start new traditions with our own little family!
