Layton's One Year Well Visit

Last Thursday we made a trip to San Antonio to take Layton to the doctor for his well visit. The doctor says he looks great and is right on track with everything. He has grown quite a bit in the last three months and is talking so much these days. He now repeats or tries to repeat everything we say. His new words this week or mommy and daddy instead of mama and dada. He also says ight for light, clock, glasses, teet for teeth, boo for book, ni ni for night night and a few other words I can't remember right now. The other day he said his first phrase he said "daddy bye bye" but hasn't said it since then. He is really into glasses right now because he sees us wearing sunglasses all the time. He puts his on and gets in his little car and says bye bye all the time. He is getting really fast and now can run away from us which is fun chasing him around. He still loves lots of fruits and vegetables so we are filling him up with as much healthy stuff as we can before he starts to push those things away. He is officially weened from the bottle and now drinks about two sippy cups of milk a day. We think he is working on some more teeth coming in because he has been drooling constantly the past few days. Layton also knows how to throw a fit and will kick and scream if we bring him inside after sitting on the lawnmower or swinging outside. He loves to be outside and wants to copy everything daddy is doing. If he sees Clifton outside mowing he will go to whichever window he can see him and say daddy and tractor over and over. Our little toddler is keeping us so busy these days but we are really seeing his personality come out and he is so entertaining.

Here are his one year stats:

Weight 25.0 lbs. (80th percentile)
Height 32 inches (97th percentile)

Poor baby had to get four shots at the appointment but thankfully he only cried for a minute. We had a fun afternoon of shopping and getting food and stuff for the birthday party. Here is a picture of us waiting for the doctor.
